In our gospel reading today Jesus says, “Anyone who obeys God is my brother or sister or mother”. We are called to be those disciples who are committed, first of all, to Christ. Because of our desire to be his followers, other differences fall away. We become his family - Christ’s brother, or sister, or mother.
