In today’s gospel reading Jesus selected 72 of his followers and sent them out ahead of him to the villages he was about to visit. Their two-fold message was to be simple. To their hosts they were to say, “God bless this home with peace”, and to those who welcomed them, “God's kingdom will soon be here!”. How does this relate to the mission of the church today? We look at the practical implications and provide a smorgasbord of all-age resources.
