John writes, “My dear friends, we must love each other.” The church is the new community called into being by Christ. Here we are exhorted to act as an extended family that loves and supports one another. Some churches do a brilliant job at this. Others have much hard work ahead before they can achieve this standard. We provide resources to explore this theme and what it means to see God as the source of our love.
